Job Description
Overview
This position is for a Heat Exchanger Fabrication Welder skilled in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, who can read blueprints and adhere to AWS standards. The role involves fabricating heat exchangers that perform under pressure in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up for multi-process welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) on exchanger shells, tubes, and headers.
- Decode blueprints and welding symbols to determine fit-up and sequence.
- Fit, tack, and weld parts to print with precision.
- Inspect welds for bead quality, penetration, and accuracy.
- Adhere to AWS welding procedures and strict safety practices.
- Maintain an orderly work station.
Requirements
- AWS welding experience; AWS certification is a plus.
- Confidence in reading blueprints and detailed weld drawings.
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment.
- Sharp attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.
