Overview

Vander-Bend is a U.S.-based manufacturer focused on building precision infrastructure for AI, specializing in server racking and power delivery solutions. The Spot Welder II position involves performing journey-level spot-welding on various materials in a newly created division of Vantedge Medical.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic sheet metal operations in various departments as needed.
• Follows verbal and/or written job instructions.
• Performs any adjustments of Spot-weld controller as necessary.
• Follows Vander-Bend Manufacturing Spot-weld set-up process.
• Designs, fabricates, and maintains Spot-weld fixtures as necessary.
• Maintains and requisitions Spot-weld tooling as necessary.
• Creates setup sheet and forwards to the Weld Lead.
• Produces quality MIG and TIG welds in different positions on varied alloys through a wide range of material gages.
• Maintains a safe and organized work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to read and understand written documents.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic.
• 2 years of sheet metal and/or metalworking related experience.
• 1 year of spot-welding experience.
• Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Requires the ability to perform complex set-ups in a timely fashion.
• Requires the ability to perform the maximum amount of Spot-welds with the minimum amount of set ups.
