Job Description

Overview

The MIG Welder position at the Southern Fulfillment Center requires the ability to interpret blueprints and perform welding tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards. Candidates should possess good physical stamina, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the company’s mission and values through quality welding.
  • Manage daily workflow of MIG welding and production of customer orders.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures.
  • Interpret blueprints and produce parts within specified tolerances.
  • Ensure all welds are watertight and pass quality inspections.
  • Produce parts according to orders in the LMS system.
  • Coordinate with Material Handler for necessary fixtures and materials.
  • Report discrepancies to QA and Supervisor.
  • Claim daily production in LMS.
  • Work with hands and lift or hold heavy items as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year manufacturing experience in MIG welding preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for group interactions.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
  • Basic computer skills to view blueprints and shop orders.
  • Ability to read tape measure and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to set up and operate MIG welder.
  • Must pass Quality Assurance’s internal test requirements.

  • This position is for the 2nd shift.
  • The work environment may require PPE due to noise levels.

What you'll be running
