Overview

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team in Wisconsin, focusing on TIG welding processes with various steel types. This contract position offers competitive pay and benefits while emphasizing craftsmanship, safety, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding, focusing primarily on TIG processes.
  • Work with 20-22 gauge steel and weld on 16 gauge 304 and 316 stainless steel.
  • Conduct MIG welding on carbon stainless and carbon steel.
  • Fabricate, fit, weld, and grind materials to precise specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering prints, weld symbols, and follow detailed specifications.
  • Utilize a tape measure with precision.
  • Wear approved personal protective equipment.
  • Work in small spaces as needed and lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • TIG welding expertise with 2+ years of experience on thin gauge stainless steel.
  • Fabrication and blueprint reading skills.
  • Proficiency in using a tape measure and performing assembly tasks.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques and safety protocols.
  • Ability to run basic pressure gauges and dial in agitators.
  • Mathematical skills, including adding and subtracting fractions.
  • Experience in boilermaker tasks is advantageous.

What you'll be running
