Overview

Dalton Ag is a premier fertilizer application equipment manufacturer established in 1996, seeking a Robotic Welder Operator responsible for the setup and operation of welding robots to complete welds on steel products while ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic welder and understand program sequencing and finished work dimensions.
  • Calculate machine speed, feed ratios, size and position of cuts.
  • Create quality welds according to blueprints.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality.
  • Use basic mechanical knowledge and hand tools to follow instructions.
  • Remove finished material to change tooling or material placement.
  • Detect sounds indicating dull cutting tools or excessive vibration during operation.
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
  • Ensure product meets specifications through re-work or corrections.
  • Load and unload material manually or using hoists or cranes.
  • Check lubrication and cooling of material during operation.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments.
  • Clean machines, tooling, and parts using solvents.
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools and materials on the machine.
  • Maintain machines and replace broken or worn tools.
  • Perform manual welding during robot weld cycle.
  • Prepare future jobs to minimize robot downtime.
  • Work extended hours or shifts as requested.
  • Cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
  • Accurately enter time and attendance.
