Overview

Pacesetter Personnel Services is seeking a MIG Welder for the Dallas, TX area. The position involves performing MIG welding on various metal materials and adhering to specified blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on various metal materials, including sheet metal, adhering to specified blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and welds.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct weld quality inspections using gauges and measuring instruments to verify conformance with AWS standards.
  • Fabricate components through cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts in accordance with project specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety protocols on construction sites or in fabrication shops.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG welding on construction sites or fabrication shops.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication, metal materials handling, and mechanical fabrication techniques.
  • Understanding of safety protocols for welding environments on construction sites or in manufacturing facilities.
  • Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks.
  • MIG welding: 2 years (Required).
  • Sheet metal: 2 years (Required).
  • Welding Certification (Required).

Additional Information

  • Pay: $24-$26 depending on experience.
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 5 am- 1:30 pm.
  • Location: Dallas, TX area.
