Overview

Ibarra Group LLC is a Certified MBE/DBE Steel Fabricator and Steel Erector based in Chicago, IL, seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various welding operations using specialized equipment to weld and assemble metal structures.
  • Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products to specification.
  • Install and repair equipment and structural components.
  • Read and follow blueprints and shop drawings to meet product specifications.
  • Calculate material measurements and verify specifications for accuracy.
  • Conduct weld quality tests to evaluate tolerance and integrity.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of welding/fabrication experience required; 5–10 years preferred for Senior level.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Experience fabricating Steel Stairs, Handrails, Structural Steel, and Fencing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time completion.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for welding issues.
  • Familiarity with welding tools, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical work in a fabrication environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish Preferred.
