Overview

Haig Precision Mfg. Corp. is seeking an experienced MIG & TIG Welder for an immediate-start position in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal components and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Weld aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, and other metals as required.
  • Inspect finished welds and components to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain consistent weld quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Use measuring tools and inspection equipment as needed.
  • Work closely with machinists, fabricators, inspectors, and other production team members.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety procedures and production requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous professional MIG and TIG welding experience required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Experience welding thin-gauge and precision-fabricated components preferred.
  • Ability to set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
