Overview

Our custom metal fabrication company is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality metal fabrication builds and offer a variety of work for a wide range of customers.

Responsibilities

  • Weld using Mig and Tig on all alloys.
  • Safely use hand tools such as grinders, sanders, and drills.
  • Complete finish work on metal, such as #4, #8 or powdercoat ready.
  • Analyze and solve problems.
  • Read and build from blueprints including architectural and shop drawings.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder.
  • Ability to weld Mig and Tig all alloys.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools.
  • Ability to complete finish work on metal.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Able to read and build from blueprints.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
  • Some overtime required and must be able to work on short notice.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
