Job Description

Overview

Westcott Designs is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join their manufacturing team in Phoenix, AZ. The company specializes in premium automotive, off-road, and overlanding products, emphasizing exceptional quality and craftsmanship in their welding standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on production components and finished products.
  • Produce clean, consistent, repeatable welds with excellent appearance and penetration.
  • Read and work from fabrication drawings, measurements, fixtures, and specifications.
  • Fit, tack, fixture, and weld components while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
  • Inspect completed welds and correct quality issues before products move to the next stage.

Requirements

  • Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work environment.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to continuously improve quality and production efficiency.
  • Professional MIG welding experience; TIG experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of welding fundamentals, heat control, penetration, and distortion.
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings and accurately use measuring tools.
  • Experience with steel and/or aluminum fabrication preferred.
  • Automotive, off-road, motorsports, or production fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing exceptional work.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
