Overview

Responsibilities

  • Handle hollow metal doors and frames weighing from 60 to 150 pounds.
  • Perform fabrication on products including welding parts together.
  • Use jigsaw or other power tools to cut holes in doors and frames.
  • Use a 40-pound electric grinder to smooth out welds.
  • Install vision kits and glass in doors.
  • Use electric drills.
  • Read work orders and product templates to establish necessary fabrication.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
  • Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates.
