Responsibilities

  • Observe all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Changeover, repair and troubleshoot all plant production equipment.
  • Identify complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine maintenance needs.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete reports.
  • Maintain plant equipment for maximum efficiency.
  • Work with vendors and/or contractors as required.
  • Order spare parts or services as needed.
  • Implement operational improvements.
  • Train others to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain organization of spare parts and a clean work area.
  • Monitor and inspect production equipment continuously.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions.
  • Dismantle and reassemble machines for repairs.
  • Rebuild and fabricate equipment as necessary.
  • Weld mild and stainless steel.
  • Complete work orders and maintain logs and records.
  • Investigate electrical and instrument equipment failures.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Prioritize a safe work environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 2 plus years in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair required.
  • Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.
  • LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred.
