Overview

As a Staff Engineer - Robotic Welding Systems at S&C Electric Company, you will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and safety of manufacturing operations through the development and implementation of torque tool strategies. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintainability strategy for torque tool deployment across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Plan and implement scalable torque tools strategy from specification and procurement through installation, programming, validation, and maintainability.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and IT/IoT teams for proper tool selection and process integration.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors to identify industry-leading torque tools and control systems for enterprise-wide deployment.
  • Develop standardized documentation including standard work, preventative maintenance plans, and programming parameters.
  • Lead torque system, ERP, and MES integration for data collection, process monitoring, and control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing processes in a high-volume, high-mix or semi-automated manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in manufacturing engineering strategies and tools with knowledge in value stream mapping, lean six sigma, DFMA, and manufacturing systems design.
  • Proven record of leading projects from concept through validation and sustainment.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills to interface with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, on-site.
