Overview

The Journeyman Mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum productivity and functionality in plant operations, requiring strong communication, observational, and operational skills with a focus on safety.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all procedures and policies regarding repairs and maintenance.
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects effectively, efficiently, and safely.
  • Support high performance in a healthcare and hospitality laundry environment through cleanliness and infection prevention.
  • Work with operations to maintain equipment efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
  • Perform industrial equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Conduct construction-type tasks such as painting and patching holes.
  • Handle electrical, plumbing, and electronics tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to complete mechanical or electrical tasks in an industrial environment.
  • Exhibit self-initiative, accountability, and flexibility.
