Overview

MI Conveyance Solutions Field Service Technicians provide mechanical service to meet customer needs, including repairing and installing conveyor belts and maintaining mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance.
  • Fabricate lightweight and/or heavyweight belts in the shop.
  • Perform rigging to facilitate the lifting of belt rolls, presses, and tooling.
  • Execute basic millwright tasks such as torch heating and cutting.
  • Remove and install conveyor components such as bearings, idlers, pulleys, gearboxes, and motors.
  • Serve as customer contact on technical and service-related issues.
  • Work under direct supervision on moderately complex repairs and installations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulatory agencies and safety standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of equipment.
  • Communicate technical information to stakeholders and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform on-site services for new and existing clients, including emergency repairs.
  • Drive company vehicles in alignment with company policy.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a technical degree and zero to three years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Ability to read measuring equipment and perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to drive company vehicles in alignment with company policy.
