Overview

Rocketdyne is seeking a TIG Welder for the night shift at their facility in Redmond, WA. The position involves welding various metals for company products and related equipment, ensuring compliance with weld specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding in accordance with existing manufacturing instructions.
  • Set up and operate automatic inert gas arc welding machines for longitudinal and circumferential welding.
  • Layout locations and make own setups as required.
  • Weld company products by certified processes while maintaining critical alignment tolerances.
  • Manually fusion weld various metals for fabrication and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Perform other manufacturing tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Complete training and attend company meetings as required.
  • Maintain a proven safety record and experience with PPE.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • 6+ years of G.T.A.W. experience welding hard alloys (stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and/or steel).
  • Experience welding duct assemblies and controlling weld distortion and shrinkage.
  • Experience reading and using planning and drawings to meet specification requirements.

  • This position includes 10% shift differential pay.
