Overview

The Welder position requires TIG welding experience and involves working on complex assemblies in the aerospace industry. The role includes setting up fixtures, using various tools, and maintaining safety standards while working on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities

  • Weld complex assemblies that meet station planning and customer specifications.
  • Set up weld fixtures and tooling fixtures for welding complex assemblies.
  • Use metal finishing tools, basic hand tools, and precise measuring equipment.
  • Print station planning, record throughput, and complete routers and manufacturing orders accurately.
  • Maintain safety standards and complete daily/weekly 6S assignments.
  • Keep the work area clean and safe to meet safety regulations.
  • Assist others in the department and help in the assembly area as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in the aerospace industry.
  • TIG welding experience.
  • Must have welding certification or be working toward it.
  • Ability to understand and follow company and customer specifications.
  • Ability to operate pneumatic hand grinders, basic hand tools, and welders.
  • Experience with welding various metal materials.
  • In-depth knowledge of GTAW and other welding practices and equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow station planning.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a challenging environment.

Additional Information

  • 1st shift schedule from 6:00am to 3:30pm.
  • 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
