Overview

The Fabricator is responsible for measuring, cutting, punching, bending, and fastening chassis and face panels used in scoreboard product manufacturing. This is a TEMPORARY hourly position based in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect each sheet of metal for flaws and use measuring tape to ensure the correct size.
  • Move materials as needed to supply fabrication and transfer material to other departments.
  • Operate plasma tables, shear, brakes, CNC, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Inspect each fabricated sub assembly for correctness prior to transferring it to another department.
  • Read and interpret drawings and layout and cut sheet metal per design.
  • Wear PPE always when using tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate the ability to properly handle and modify sheet metal to an acceptable quality level.
  • Must be able to utilize hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work safely.
  • Must be able to perform basic math skills and read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
