Overview

Intellisense Systems, Inc. is a privately held company that develops and deploys innovative products for extreme environments, focusing on aerospace, defense, and commercial markets. They are seeking an Electronics Assembler II with advanced electronics and mechanical manufacturing experience to assemble electro-mechanical products to AS9100 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision hand soldering of electronic components in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems using detailed drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Support prototype builds by interpreting engineering documentation and providing feedback to improve manufacturability.
  • Execute production assembly and in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform epoxy potting, bonding, and conformal coating processes as required.
  • Maintain accurate material control, traceability, and inventory records in compliance with AS9100 procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to resolve technical issues.
  • Interface with other departments to support material validation and workmanship standards.
  • Train and mentor team members on soldering techniques and best practices.
  • Identify assembly issues and opportunities for process improvement; escalate as needed.
  • Maintain ESD compliance and proper handling of sensitive components.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics with 4-5 years of experience or vocational training with 6-8 years of experience.
  • 6+ years in high-tech manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience with printed circuit board assembly and electrical harness production.
  • Good soldering skills (SMT, through-hole, and harnessing).
  • Good understanding of soldering work standards (IPC-A-610/J-STD-001).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
  • Experience performing functional testing and following detailed test procedures.
  • High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail for intricate assemblies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on complex tasks.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and quality focus.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-reliability manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills.
