Overview

SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. The Equipment Maintenance Technician role requires a self-sufficient technician to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting across a wide range of equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all critical assets to ensure their proper operating condition.
  • Provide maintenance on various equipment such as ovens, furnaces, vacuum systems, and environmental test chambers.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems down to the component level.
  • Read and utilize schematics (mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic).
  • Perform other related duties to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.

Additional Information

  • Ability to work one of the following shifts: 1st shift: Monday - Friday 5:30am - 3:30pm or 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 12:00am.
  • Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
