Overview

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Journeyman Pipefitter/Welder at their Clatskanie, OR location, offering a starting pay of $48.45/hour. Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance and project work.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Fabricate, install, repair, and maintain industrial piping systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Install, maintain, and diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Operate welding and fabrication equipment for repairs and custom projects.
  • Utilize cranes, hoists, lift trucks, rigging equipment, and other material handling tools safely.
  • Collaborate with engineers, maintenance personnel, contractors, and operations teams to improve equipment performance.
  • Commit to safety by following environmental, health, and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Journey level experience as a maintenance Pipefitter/Welder in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience with various welding processes, such as TIG, MIG, and ARC.
  • Experience using heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes.

What you'll be running

It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
