Overview

S&C Electric Company is a 100% employee-owned company that manufactures equipment to protect the critical infrastructure of the power grid. The Finisher role is essential for coordinating metal finishing functions to ensure smooth operations in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify parts from blueprints to verify proper tagging.
  • Use simple material handling equipment such as powered walking stackers and pallet trucks.
  • Utilize measuring equipment like tape measures.
  • Learn proper grinding procedures to smooth welds and remove scratches from steel parts.
  • Hang parts weighing up to 200 lbs. on an overhead conveyor using material handling equipment.
  • React to system alarms and perform basic sanding procedures.
  • Sustain a continuous work pace for extended periods.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Working knowledge of shop math.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.

Additional Information

  • Work hours are from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, Sunday to Thursday.
  • Overtime may be required.
