Overview

Sundt is seeking pipefitter helpers for the Cave Creek Water Treatment Project in Phoenix, AZ. Candidates must have experience in piping on heavy commercial or industrial construction projects and be available for overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, lay-out, and performance of all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
  • Produce high quality work, safely and productively always.
  • Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information is available for the work.
  • Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work.
  • Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
  • Demonstrate effective math skills.
  • Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
  • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
  • Ask a supervisor if unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices.

Requirements

  • Must have one to two years of experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry.
  • General understanding of the craft work being performed.
  • NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Pay is $20-$29/hour depending on experience and abilities.
