Overview

Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking an Expert Welder to apply appropriate welding processes for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal parts. The role involves using jigs and fixtures according to blueprints and inspecting completed work for specifications compliance.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently perform welding in the flat position.
• Proficiently operate torch.
• Lay-out and mark weld points.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications using measuring devices.
• Complete and maintain all required records.
• Proficiently perform carbon arcing.
• Perform multi-pass welding.
• Coach and train lower level welders.
• Proficiently read blueprints.
• Maintain attendance within acceptable standards.
• Observe all safety practices and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years verifiable welding experience with 1/16" FCAW groove welds in the flat position.
• Must be able to consistently pass UT inspection on a daily basis.
• Must be proficient in gouging.
• Must understand and know all Weld Procedures and Weld Maps.
• Must be able to train according to Weld Procedures and Weld Maps.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Read, write and speak proficiently in English.
• Strong interpersonal communicator, good listener and open to feedback.
