Overview

PacSci EMC is seeking a Design Engineer to support the design, development, improvement, production, and sustainment of ordnance components and systems for mission-critical products supporting the U.S. warfighter. This role involves collaboration with various teams throughout the product lifecycle and requires a curious and ownership-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain, develop, and improve ordnance product mechanical designs from concept through their production lifecycle.
  • Perform engineering analysis and create engineering documentation.
  • Support prototype, qualification, production, and sustainment engineering activities.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to Manufacturing and Quality.
  • Lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain product design configuration management records, including engineering drawings and bills of material.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams across engineering disciplines.
  • Support proposal efforts and technical evaluations as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred; Aerospace Engineering or other engineering disciplines may also be considered.
  • Typically 3+ years of relevant mechanical and/or ordnance design experience.
  • Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T.
  • Experience using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred; equivalent CAD platforms acceptable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
