Overview

Truestone, an Akima company, is seeking a Welder with experience in Aluminum TIG, Aluminum MIG, Flux Core, and Steel MIG to work in Tobyhanna, PA. Candidates must pass a government background check, drug test, and physical exam.

Responsibilities

  • Welds metal components to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders.
  • Performs welding duties using electric, acetylene, and inert gas shielded welding processes.
  • Locates and repairs cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads using inspection equipment.
  • Utilizes various welding processes to weld different types of metals in various sizes and shapes.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
  • Welds stainless steel and aluminum where complete penetration and close tolerances are required.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen and able to pass a thorough background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and physical.
  • Proficient in Aluminum TIG, Aluminum MIG, Flux Core, and Steel MIG.
  • Ability to work first, second, or third shift as needed.
  • Must be qualified and certified to American Welding Society (AWS) standards.
  • Capable of welding dissimilar metals such as copper to steel.
  • Must be able to work in awkward and cramped quarters.
