Overview

Valmont is seeking an experienced Welder to join their team, where they will contribute to the fabrication and repair of metal components. The company is a Fortune 1000 organization focused on advancing agricultural productivity and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Weld metal structural components together using arc welding for steel electrical poles and substations.
  • Perform welding operations based on blueprints or specifications with limited planning.
  • Maintain and operate production tooling and welding equipment safely.
  • Operate other machines in the shop as needed.

Requirements

  • Two years of previous hands-on welding experience in a professional environment.
  • Ability to pass a welding hands-on test and written assessment.
  • Ability to pass and maintain weld certification for GMAW welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and flat sheets.
  • Knowledge of visual weld quality and appearance for finished shafts.
  • Knowledge of how to accurately read a measuring tape.

  • Compensation: $28.13/hour ($26.13/hour + $2.00 Shift Differential)
  • Available Shifts: 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and Weekend Shift.
