Overview

Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company that focuses on advancing agricultural productivity and reimagining vital infrastructure. The Robotic Welder position involves operating welding equipment to weld components of steel square tubes and requires certification in MIG welding.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Moto Cell to weld the base and other components of steel square tubes.
  • Load steel shafts via conveyor into the machine.
  • Monitor the quality of incoming steel shafts.
  • Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings.
  • Use IFS labor reporting system and read blueprints.
  • Perform GMAW (MIG) welding and operate oxy/acetylene burning equipment.
  • Participate in department LEAN activities and work in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Must possess acceptable work history and attendance record.
  • Minimum of 3+ years welding experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
  • Must pass welder level 3 assessment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass an AWS welder operator qualification test for GMAW processes.
