Overview

Valmont is seeking a motivated Robotic Welder for their Global Utility Division, responsible for welding metal components using CNC equipment according to specifications. The company is committed to advancing agricultural productivity and infrastructure to improve lives globally.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic welding production machinery with CNC equipment.
• Adjust and set robotic weld machine to specifications.
• Set up programs for efficient welding operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper fitting of products.
• Perform layout, aligning, and assembling of fabricated metal products.
• Execute various weld procedures including tack weld and jig work.
• Complete work within set time limits with accurate performance.
• Maintain tools and equipment provided.
• Participate in department safety and adhere to safety policies.

Requirements

• Three months of previous hands-on welding experience.
• Successful completion of an internal weld test.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints including weld requirement symbology.
• Ability to calculate formulas using basic mathematics.
• Knowledge and experience in gas metal arc welding and cutting.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Knowledge of quality requirements and standards.
• Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate positively with coworkers.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain an acceptable level of production, quality, and attendance.
