Overview

The Repair Welder - Cradles at Magna is responsible for producing high-quality welded components while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. Magna offers a dynamic work environment and invests in employee development, focusing on innovative automotive technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding repairs and complete existing welds using approved welding techniques.
  • Visually inspect welds for fusion, porosity, location, size, burn-through, notching, and undercut.
  • Maintain product quality to ensure finished parts meet or exceed Kamtek standards.
  • Perform required quality checks using QID, QIF, FO/LO processes, and quality alerts.
  • Accurately document production and inventory data using CMS systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and support departments across all shifts.
  • Participate in team, department, and plant-wide meetings as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Prior welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to use MIG welding equipment, basic hand tools, computer systems, and scanners.
  • Knowledge of robot fundamentals and workstation panel basics.
