Overview

Vermeer is a global company focused on innovation, providing equipment that manages natural resources and supports communities. As a Welder I, you will contribute to producing high-quality equipment in a collaborative and safety-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete weldments in various positions according to blueprints and welding procedure specifications.
  • Prepare, position, and align components using fixtures; bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts.
  • Safely operate an oxyfuel cutting torch and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
  • Access digital drawings and work instructions via computer systems.
  • Identify welding defects and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Support 5S and workplace organization goals by maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

  • Entry-level welding experience or formal training preferred.
  • Ability to complete Vermer's Weld Training Program and obtain AWS GMAW-P certification.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret welding symbols.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify welding defects.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members.

  • Work Location: ONSITE at a Vermeer campus.
  • No travel is expected for this position.
