Overview

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is a leading provider of innovative outdoor living products and utility infrastructure solutions across North America. The Welder/Fabricator role involves assembling or fabricating mechanical parts using various tools and equipment according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Utilize handheld tools such as grinders, band saws, and torches.
  • Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tools.
  • Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Rework and repair welded parts according to engineering specifications.
  • Prioritize workflow through effective communication with management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 4 years of experience preferred.
  • Basic reading skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • High attention to detail and self-motivated.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
