Overview

The Facilities Technician position at Wendy's involves performing daily repairs and maintenance on restaurant equipment and property, ensuring timely completion of scheduled preventative maintenance, and providing training on equipment operation. The role requires working in various conditions and supports a culture of openness and inclusiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform demand repairs on restaurant equipment and property as identified through work orders.
  • Proactively create and complete work orders for critical issues found during restaurant visits.
  • Perform preventative maintenance service as outlined in PM work orders.
  • Create work orders for needed repairs identified during preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure work orders are completed in the time frame identified by the priority codes.
  • Maintain accurate parts and company-owned tool inventories.
  • Follow warranty process for company restaurants.
  • Report the condition of equipment and property as well as maintenance status.
  • Participate in Individual Development Planning process.
  • Complete required safety training to comply with company guidelines.
  • Stay current on industry standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in related general maintenance/repair work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical repair, carpentry, and plumbing.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladder up to 30ft, and work in extreme climates.
  • Ability to maintain/repair varied types of electrical equipment.
  • EPA Certification Type I and II.
  • Competencies: Customer Orientation, Learning Agility, Initiative, Functional Expertise, Organizing and Planning.

Additional Information

  • Work environment requires on call rotations and may require overtime.
  • Expected work location is primarily at Wendy's Restaurants or other field locations in Chicago, IL.
  • Remote work is permitted when not working at a Wendy's location.
