Overview

SMS group is seeking a mechanically inclined Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. The company values innovation, growth, and inclusion, and offers a supportive environment for skill development.

Responsibilities

  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
  • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and fabricate parts.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Repair, install, adjust or maintain industrial production and processing machinery.
  • Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Record parts or materials used and order to requisition new parts or materials.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Study blueprints or manufacturers manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.

Requirements

  • Mechanical and Electrical knowledge of machines and tools.
  • Previous maintenance mechanic experience.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is Monday - Friday 6am to 4pm.
  • 1 weekend a month.
