Job Description

Overview

Pregis is hiring an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain the proper functioning of machinery and mechanical equipment in a clean and safe work environment. The company is focused on sustainable growth through innovation and customer-centric packaging solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance requirements on production, packaging, and processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and AC/DC drive systems.
  • Be on call for emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
  • Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, and service manuals.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance check-ups as needed.
  • Ensure proper function of line manufacturing support systems.
  • Complete and document work orders promptly in CMMS.
  • Maintain communication with other departments and notify them of production concerns.
  • Complete all paperwork in a clear and accurate format.
  • Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Identify Critical Control Points (CCP) and adhere to safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Associate’s or Technical School Degree in Mechanics, Electrical, or Computer Science preferred.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with others.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work instructions.

  • Location: Roselle, IL
  • Schedule: 7AM-3:30PM
  • Full-time position with expected overtime per business demand.
