Overview

The Mobile Compactor Repair Tech is responsible for troubleshooting, designing, installing, and repairing compactors and power units under supervision. This role requires adherence to safety procedures and offers a chance to work with a leading company in the environmental services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Replace hydraulic cylinders.
  • Fabricate replacement hoses and fittings.
  • Weld steel components using MIG and Arc welding equipment.
  • Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
  • Fabricate steel components for compactors.
  • Perform on-site repairs at customer locations.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete required paperwork.
  • Install company and safety decals on all compactors.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Refer more complex repairs to the Technician A or Lead Technician.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency with welding, hydraulics, or electronics.
  • Ability to utilize MIG & stick welders, plasma cutter, airless paint sprayers.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.
  • At least 2 years of prior experience with hydraulic pumps and hoses.
  • Valid driver's license.
