Overview

Shield AI is a venture-backed defense-tech company focused on protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems. They are seeking skilled Production Technicians to work on composite aircraft, avionics, and associated systems in a quality-focused production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support and perform assembly, testing and configuration of aircraft systems such as UAVs, Avionics, GCS, GSE, GDT, and electronics.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, component removal/replacement, testing, and documentation using approved technical publications and procedures.
  • Trim, paint, and perform bodywork on UAV components.
  • Assemble, test, and support engine ground runs and break-ins.
  • Make modifications or repairs to composite components as needed.
  • Coordinate with and assist other team members to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and work instructions related to part fabrication.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimally 6 months-1 year of relevant experience in Aircraft Production/Manufacturing including Composite Layup, Avionics fabrication, and Aircraft Final Assembly.
  • Minimally 6 months-1 year of experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interface cooperatively with departmental personnel and customers.
