Overview

CPP Syracuse is seeking a 2nd Shift TIG Welder to join their team, offering substantial growth opportunities and a range of benefits. The position involves performing Gas Tungsten Arc welding on investment castings and requires adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Weld by method of GTAW for rework, repair, and cosmetic upgrades according to specifications.
  • Evaluate castings to ensure adequate preparation.
  • Assess casting conditions to determine appropriate weld techniques.
  • Perform additional weld preparation using die and belt grinders.
  • Operate and maintain welding machines and equipment.
  • Document weld locations and dimensions.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities using lean tools.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Maintain attendance and reliability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Formal training or classes in welding is a plus.
  • Maintain welding certification for GTAW.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
  • Some positions require vision screening with or without corrective lenses.

Additional Information
