Responsibilities

  • Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components.
  • Read a Weld Procedure Specification (WPS) to produce a weld according to requirements.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Fabricate and construct piping segments and attach fittings.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt parts for welding.
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment using various processes.
  • Examine workpieces for defects and measure for conformance.
  • Recognize, set up, and operate common hand and power tools.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of pipe welding experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick.
  • Must be able to pass an in-house welding test (6G criteria).
  • Must have own hand tools.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
  • Ability to weld diverse types of metals.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints.

What you'll be running
