Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Technician – Level 4 to assist mechanical engineers in the development, assembly, and integration of Space Vehicle components. This role is crucial for missions related to human space exploration and national defense.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development, assembly, and integration of Space Vehicle mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
  • Participate in the development of sub-system and system test methodology.
  • Assist with setting up and testing complete prototype and flight units and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
  • Willing to work any shift and cover extended work weeks as required.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
