Overview

MGX Field Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position is located at the Phoenix, AZ branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Light diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
  • Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
  • Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
  • Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a mechanical background and related experience with electrical and hydraulics.
  • Must be able to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Must have experience in preventative maintenance and light equipment repair.
  • May be required to travel to job sites and for training up to 50% of the time.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Experience working with different forms of mobile crane and/or heavy equipment is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.
  • The position will be required to work in an environment with exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures and various weather conditions.
