Overview

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is a leader in power distribution and protection systems, specializing in customized, turn-key solutions. The Mechanical Assembler role involves installing electrical components and mechanical systems within substation building enclosures, supporting manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components, including panelboards, HVAC units, battery systems, and electrical devices.
  • Route, secure, and support wiring and electrical components according to engineering specifications.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools, including drills, impact drivers, and grinders.
  • Conduct quality inspections to verify completed assemblies meet specifications and standards.
  • Identify, document, and report defective materials and equipment issues.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of tools and production supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience installing electrical components, conduit, wiring, or HVAC equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and workplace safety practices.
  • Basic math skills for accurate measurements.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools.
  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment preferred; training may be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
