Overview

As a Mechanized Welding Operator Level 2 at Honeywell, you will operate mechanized welding equipment in an ASME pressure vessel shop, specializing in the fabrication of large heat exchangers for natural gas liquefaction. This role requires expertise in Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) to ensure high-quality welds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain mechanized welding equipment to produce quality welds using Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
  • Perform fitting, cutting, and grinding operations as required.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Train and mentor junior welders on welding techniques and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize welding operations and workflows.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience in mechanized welding processes, including Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
  • 3 years of experience with semi-automatic and manual welding processes such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and GMAW on aluminum materials.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS welding symbols.
  • Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces, and lift up to 30 lbs.
