Overview

The Pipefitter Foreperson position at Sundt involves planning, laying out, and performing various pipe fitting and fabrication tasks while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Sundt is a 100% employee-owned contractor focused on building long-term prosperity for clients and employee-owners.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lay-out and perform all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work.
  • Continually seek opportunities to share knowledge and teach others.
  • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
  • Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks and methods.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Produce high quality work safely and productively.
  • Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information are available.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards.
  • Must have a minimum of three to six plus years of experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry.
  • In-depth understanding of the pipefitter trade.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Work may involve reaching, stooping, kneeling, or bending.
  • Must be able to lift, push or pull objects up to 50lbs.
  • Work up to a 12 hour shift in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
