Overview

The Project Engineer will execute defined portions of engineering project scope, including equipment specification and selection, preparation of technical documentation, and coordination with teams and vendors. This role supports various activities in the water treatment and semiconductor industries, ensuring high-quality work while adhering to established engineering standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute defined portions of engineering project scope from concept through installation.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering deliverables such as specifications, data sheets, and bills of material.
  • Review and coordinate equipment selection and vendor drawings for compliance with project requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers and internal design teams to support schedules and technical execution.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners for design validation and integration.
  • Support procurement, fabrication, installation, and startup activities by resolving technical questions.
  • Participate in BIM and model coordination efforts, including layout reviews and clash resolution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation within established engineering systems.
  • Apply engineering standards and safety practices consistently across all work.
  • Evaluate chemical compatibility of materials for water treatment applications.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of directly related experience.
  • Experience in the water treatment industry or Semiconductor Wafer Fab environment is preferred.
  • Training and experience in AutoCAD and piping skid design are preferred.
  • Experience in BIM and model coordination is strongly desired.
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and understanding of fluid systems.
  • Working knowledge of chemical compatibility and materials selection for wetted components.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
