Overview

PacSci EMC is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to support the design, development, improvement, production, and sustainment of ordnance components and systems for mission-critical products supporting the U.S. warfighter. This role requires a high level of responsibility and independence, collaborating closely with various teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Independently sustain, develop, and improve ordnance product mechanical designs from concept through production.
  • Perform engineering analysis, make sound technical decisions, and prepare complete engineering documentation with limited oversight.
  • Lead and support production and sustainment engineering activities.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to Manufacturing and Quality, independently resolving routine technical issues.
  • Lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain engineering drawings, bills of material, and Oracle Agile PLM configuration records.
  • Collaborate effectively with Integrated Product Teams across the product lifecycle.
  • Support proposal efforts, technical evaluations, and engineering decision-making as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; Aerospace Engineering or closely related discipline may be considered.
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering, product design, manufacturing support, and/or ordnance design experience.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T.
  • Demonstrated experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred; equivalent platforms acceptable).
  • Strong communication skills, sound engineering judgment, and ability to work independently.
