Overview

The Welding Apprentice position at Heil Environmental offers individuals the opportunity to learn a valuable skill in American manufacturing through a paid apprenticeship program. Participants will receive on-the-job training in welding, with guaranteed job placement and income increases after specific milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Receive instruction and training in set/fit up and finish welding.
  • Demonstrate progress in learning to set/fit up and finish weld.
  • Assist with other duties as called upon and/or as needed.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to understand general arithmetic and write in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to follow verbal or written instructions and use PC based applications.
  • Normal attention with periods of high concentration to operate machinery.
  • Walking/standing approximately 70% of the time and lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Requires use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting and operating equipment.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and hear for safety purposes.
  • Visual ability to observe essential functions for job performance and safety.
