Job Description

Position Title: Welder Fitter Wage: $25.00-$30.00/hour Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-12:00am; Monday-Thursday We’re seeking skilled and motivated Fitter Welders to join a growing team in Cudahy, WI. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, fitting and fabricating metal components, and performing high-quality welding to meet production and customer specifications. Welder Fitter Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders - Fit, align, and assemble metal components according to specifications - Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Flux Core welding as required - Measure, mark, and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy - Operate fabrication equipment, including grinders, saws, drills, and other shop tools - Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality and conformance to specifications - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area - Follow all company safety policies and procedures - Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and deadlines Welder Fitter Requirements: - Previous experience as a Fitter Welder, Fabricator, or similar manufacturing role - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols - Strong knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes - Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and levels - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods - Preferred welding certifications are a plus - Preferred experience working with structural steel, stainless steel, or aluminum - Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred Benefits: - Competitive pay up to $32.00 per hour - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - Paid time off and holiday pay - 401(k) with company match - Overtime opportunities - Career growth and advancement opportunities IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
