Overview

Alamo Industrial® is a leading manufacturer of tractor-mounted mowers and related equipment, serving governmental, agricultural, and commercial markets for over 50 years. The Welder position involves fabricating steel frames and metal parts using MIG welding equipment under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding duties in a safe manner.
  • Pick and gather parts for welding as directed by supervisor.
  • Operate welding equipment, including turning valves and igniting mixtures.
  • Guide electrodes or torch along weld joints to melt and deposit metal.
  • Communicate issues effectively to supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively in teams.
  • Complete defect-free parts in a timely manner.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of welding experience or equivalent.
  • One year of welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints with weld symbols.
  • Ability to read measuring devices.
  • Manual dexterity and good eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
