Overview

Daubert Chemical Company is seeking a hands-on, highly skilled Maintenance Technician for their plant in Forest View, IL. This role involves diagnosing and completing a variety of routine and complex equipment work orders, with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Apply 5S organizational principles and demonstrate a commitment to safety and cleanliness.
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain production equipment in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting for various voltage levels.
  • Install and maintain piping systems and related instrumentation.
  • Assist in planning and installation of new equipment and systems.
  • Use CMMS software to document repairs and maintenance.
  • Comply with OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Support the team with after-hours outages as part of a rotating call-in program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required; vocational training or associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Experience in the chemical processing industry preferred.
  • General computer skills for accessing company data and training.
  • Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.

  • This position is for 2nd shift, from 3pm to 11:30pm.
  • Opportunity for overtime based on business requirements.
